Very rough attempt for digipak
Using the quick selection tool and the shutter lense, I have managed to produce a very rough, and unfocussed example of the multiple leg shots I would like to show the walking effect for a section on my digipak.

Stroboscopic photography for the digipak
For the back of my digipak, I want to create a stroboscopic image of the female protagonist walking against a plain background. This conveys the theme throughout the video, with her walking/dancing around different locations.
This image photographed by Andrew Davidhazy, is what I would like to do with the female walking, focusing on her leg movement.

I will create this by using a quick shutter effect and cropping and placing each image on the same page.

Album Cover Idea
I want the focus to be a close up of the female protagonist who is driving the video. I like the idea of just her face in shot and pulling a cheeky expression.
I like this Rita Ora album cover, and will use it as inspiration:

Videos which have influenced my video ideas:
The Verve- Bittersweet Symphony
I like the constant use of walking and singing from just one protagonist used in this. I want to incorporate a female singer walking energetically through different streets, this is encouraged by the strong, repetitive beat throughout my song choice. The protagonist I use will also be joined by other people throughout her journey and create moving dance choreography.
Isaac's Music Video
A student last year produced a music video which also focused on the female protagonist, and conveyed her to be edgy with the fast cuts and high angle shots. I like the aspect of this focus, and her singing directly to the camera.
Rihanna- What's My Name?
At 1.30 in the video Rihanna is shot walking and dancing casually around a street, while still singing to the camera. I like the idea that people passing by are shot continuing with their lives, ignoring Rihanna.
Britney- Baby One More Time
I am keen to try something similar to the routine when Britney is leading the dance through the school. I like the fact they are travelling down an aisle, as I would like to keep that pathways thoughout my video. She also continues to sing while other female dancers join her in the background.
Beyonce- Crazy In Love
I like the strutting Beyonce does at the beginning of the video, and her relationship with the girls when they start to dance togther. She is always leading the dancing and still lip-syncing with a playful look to the camera.

Chosen song and lyrics
I have gone with my initial idea of using The Asteroid Galaxy Tour, and their song 'Push The Envelope'.
It is a pop song, which is a genre I wanted to experiment with due to the continuous and significant beat, and opportunity for some dance routines.
This is the song and lyrics:
Anyway you're OK, I'm away to the day when you wont pray for a better day.
Never say stay wide awake, be always late, for devils sake smile when you're afraid
In the gray, be a slave, everyday, create a wave, create your own fate
But you will fail, (...) lack the will, you'll be chasing your tail.
Push the envelope, wild child, come on x2
Come on x3
Now
Come on x3
Single mind, wastin' time, doin' fine most of the time, sure you walk the line
Make it shine, for the dime but always shines left behind there's no better crime
You will climb, until you find you sat in grime sublime, (...)
But you decline, to the blind, I'll stay alive yeah ! I know you know that you're divine.
Push the envelope, wild child, come on x15
Sometimes you feel like you're running around in the clouds,
Sometimes you feel like you're living your life wasting time,
Oh you're so true yet so blue ~ is it all in your mind?
Tell me, amaze me, seduce me, you still make it mine.
Push the envelope, wild child, come on x4

Group filming and editing practise
To improve our ease of shooting music video's, over the last few weeks we have been picking songs to then re-create our own video's for. This has helped us to become familiar with the difficulties of lip-syncing and the timing issues coming with that.
We have also tried several genres, giving us the opportunity to explore with the conventions typical of this style.
We have only been able to shoot these within school so have been slightly limited in terms of location and time
Braxtons- Slow The Flow (Hip-Hop)
Lionel Ritchie- Easy (Ballad)
Carly-Rae Jepson- Call Me Maybe (Pop)
Christmas Medley- (Christmas)
